Last year, the Czech company RM Gastro reached the highest turnover and profit in its 20 year long history. Its 2014 turnover exceeded one billion Czech crowns; the net profit exceeded 100 million Czech crowns. The profit will be invested in further development of the RM Gastro Group. The sum of 55 million CZK will be invested in purchasing machinery and manufacturing equipment. RM Gastro will soon start expanding its production facility. The investment will reach 125 million Czech crowns. Our objective is to increase production and enhance labour productivity by advanced manufacturing technologies.
2014 was a very successful business year for the RM Gastro Group. "We have reached the historically highest turnover on our markets," says Jan Richter, the co-owner of RM Gastro, and he adds: "At the same time, we managed to generate profit which will help us prepare further expansion. At the current moment, our products are sold in 53 countries worldwide. However, we would like to enter new foreign markets and find new customers and business partners soon."
"Our current production capacity does not provide means for significant increase of production. Therefore, we have started investing on a large scale into the production automation, purchase of modern manufacturing technologies and expanding our factory," says Ladislav Mrkvička, the co-owner of RM Gastro and director of the production facility in Veselí nad Lužnicí, and he adds: "We are also opening almost twenty new positions in our facility."
The manufacturing equipment of RM Gastro is one of the best in the processing equipment segment. We put emphasis on advanced technologies. For that reason we use equipment of the German company Trumpf. Recently, we have installed a punching machine TruPunch 5000, the worldwide fastest machine in its category. TruPunch 5000 speed of punching is 1400 strokes/minute, it features an active die function which ensures scratch-free processing of sheet metal. Thus the quality of produced components is enhanced and amount of scrap material reduced. The machine is semi-automatic; it automatically unloads the remaining grids and changes tools. Our new fully automatic TruLaser 3030 is yet another example of advanced technologies which we are using. This machine minimises unproductive times, cuts at the speed of 140 m/min, it features an integrated pallet changer, longitudinal belt conveyor for the removal of slag and small parts and a synchronous loading and unloading (55 sec cycle).
